For 3–4 years, we bought all of our watermelons from Restaurant Depot and were generally very satisfied. I didn’t rush to write this review because I trusted Restaurant Depot and hoped the issue was temporary. However, after my fourth watermelon purchase in 2026, I felt compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, every watermelon I have purchased over the last two years has ended up in the trash. Either the supplier has changed, or quality control has significantly declined. The quality has been consistently poor: bland taste, soft texture, and an overall product that barely resembles a fresh watermelon. I understand that an occasional bad batch can happen, but when the problem continues for years and across multiple purchases, it becomes a serious concern. Until Restaurant Depot addresses this issue and improves its quality control, I cannot recommend buying watermelons here. Very disappointing, especially considering how reliable they used to be.

This is one of the best Restaurant Depot branches I’ve visited! The store is clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with everything you could need. I was pleasantly surprised that I could get a free daily pass, which made it super convenient to shop without a full membership. One of the highlights for me was their great selection of Halal meat and chicken—plenty of options and very good quality. Whether you’re shopping for a business or just buying in bulk for home, this location is incredibly well-managed and efficient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the checkout process was quick. Highly recommend this branch if you’re in the area!

It also sells alcohol, but only licensed businesses can purchase it. Monthly specials are available on its website. Restaurant Depot at Huntington Beach is bright, spacious and each section is clearly marked for easy navigation.
